Task № 1 «Pancakes»
Teacher: Choose and name the main ingredients of pancakes. If you are right your team takes 5 points.
Task № 2 «Proverbs»
Teacher: Find the Russian equivalents for the following proverbs. Each right answer – 1 point.
- A spoon is dear when lunch time is near. (Дорога ложка к обеду)
- Breakfast like a king, lunch like a queen and dinner like a pauper. ( Завтрак съешь сам, обед раздели с другом, ужин отдай врагу).
- One man’s meat is another man’s poison. (Что одному хорошо, другому- смерти подобно.)
- To cook a hare before catching him. (Делить шкуру не убитого медведя).
- Appetite comes with eating. (Аппетит приходит во время еды).
- A hungry man is an angry man. (Сытый голодному не товарищ).
Task№ 3 «Give it a name»
Teacher: Try to guess the meaning of the statements. You task is to name the food. (The answer is given at the screen). Each right answer – 1 point.
- It is a vegetable. We eat the dark red part that grows under the ground.(beetroot)
- Two slices of bread with food between them. (sandwich or hamburger)
- It is the first meal of the day. (breakfast)
- It is a vegetable. It looks like a large ball of leaves. The leaves can be green, white or purple.(cabbage)
- It is a small quick meal. (snack)
- It is a kind of food which is used to sweeten other food and drinks. (sugar)
Task № 4 «Coloured Box»
Teacher: The next interesting task is to guess the riddle. Your opponents get a riddle to your team and your task is to give the right answer. The answer is in this coloured box.
Each right answer – 1 point.
Task №5 «Making dumplings with potato»
Teacher: Your task is to make the dumplings as much as possible. You have 5 minutes for this task. Try to do your best in this task. The jury will appreciate the quantity and the quality. (max 5points)
